Disclaimer: I Do not own Demi and Selena and everything you real is straight from my imagination.
I only own the plot of this story.

I Was in my room asleep when I felt an unknown weight that was pinned against me. I slowly woke up and saw Demi.

“Morning Selly!” she exclaimed, quite loudly.

“Morning Demz!” I replied, trying to be just as loud. How in the world Demi was so perky in the mornings, I would never understand. Just before I could get another thought in, I heard my stomache growl and moan at me to get it food, and quick!"I'm hungry," I said a little faster than necessary.

Demi laughed and rolled off onto the other side of the bed. “You’re always hungry!” She had a point; it wasn’t very often that I wasn’t hungry.

I sat up and turned to face my best friend now. “Please tell me you’re hungry too! I don’t want to die of hunger!” I was now on my back with hand over my forehead. “I can feel it comig on already! I think I’m catching a fever, I need food QUICK!” Jumping out of bed, I ran over to Demi’s side and started pulling her out of bed as well.

“Come on! We can even go to Ed’s diner! I don’t care, just as long as I get FOOD!” I let go of Demi and fell back onto the floor with a bang, followed by a bed-side lamp that fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.

Demetria rushed over to my side to make sure I was okay. “Okay, okay, we can go eat!” She picked up my head and rubbed the back to make sure there wasn’t a bump. “You’re fine!” Getting up, she pulled onto my hand so that I would follow. “If you’re not ready in half an hour we aren’t going though, deal?

”

“DEAL!” I yelled, running out of the room with a towel in my hand, on my way to take a quick shower.

*25 minutes later*

As soon as the doors opened to Ed's diner I looked around for an empty booth. While hardly any of the tables are taken, there is only one booth left untaken. "So, where do you want to sit?" I ask Demi as I slowly begin to take steps closer towards the booth.

I watch her as she looks around the restaurant, more interested in the customers than the open tables. At first she seems a little disappointed with the turnout, but whatever it was is gone within seconds and she is now looking at me with that amazing, vibrant smile. "Let me guess, you want the booth?"

“Oh,Come On! We have to sit in a booth, there are so many places that don't have booths anymore, we need to appreciate them!"

I drag her over to the booth as quick as possible, without looking completely ridiculous, and sit down facing the back of the store. I know Demi loves a view so I figure I might as well give her the view of the rest of the diner. "Aren't you glad we came here?" While I would've enjoyed a muffin from just about anywhere, I knew this was the only way I could get her to agree to come here. It's her favorite place.

Demi doesn't reply though because now she's replying to a text she must have gotten on her way over here. There's a huge smile on her face that makes me wonder who she is texting. Not that I'm jealous, because, I AM the one sitting in front of her. "So, how's the boyfriend?" I make sure to hide any pain that might show through my eyes. You can never be too sure.

Putting her phone away faster than you can spell Mississippi, she looks up, her eyes wide, and she begins to laugh. "Don't be silly, Selly!" She sits back and relaxes before picking up her menu. "You know very well that it is just me, myself, and time right now." With a roll of her eyes I can tell the subject is dropped. For some reason, relationship talks have always bothered Demi; she never fails to change the subject, and I don't think I'll ever figure out why. " I'm kind of in the mood for lunch but it's barely 11 AM."

"How about you ask Ed to make you something special? He likes you enough." Every liked Demi though, there was just something about her.

"I could never do that! I'll just get the usual blueberry pancakes," she replied with a tone I wasn't used to hearing from her. Demi then took her phone out of her pocket to check and see if she had any notifications of sorts.

I wasn't really sure what to do. I thought this was a great idea, I had even agreed to come to a place I hated. There was something going on with her but I couldn't tell if it was my imagination or not. I looked around for a waiter or waitress when, suddenly, a thought ocurred. "Oh my gosh, I forgot to tell you!" I sat up straighter and waited for her to look up at me. "I spoke to Joe the other day!" As excited as I was, she looked rather lost. "You know, Joe. Joe JONAS?" How could have possibly forgotten him?

Very slowly, Demi put her phone down and began listening tentatively. "Okay," I continued, "so, I get a call from Nick and we start talking and catching up but then on the other line I hear mumbling in the middle of my sentence and all of a sudden I'm talking to Joe." I wait for her to make some sort of movement. She blinks. "Well, apparently the Jonas's are throwing a fourth of July soiree and, as usual, we are invited!!!" The Jonas boys had to be the most charming boys alive, and they definitely knew how to throw a party.

"OH YAY!" Demi was ecstatic and her voice had risen a few pitches. "I love their parties! We're going, right?!"

"I'm surprised you even had to ask!" Of course they were going to go, it would be wrong if they didn't.

Just then, a waiter showed up and took our orders, each of us ordering a breakfast meal, then returning to the conversation we had been having. "I'm so excited, I haven't seen those boys in months!"

She giggled a little and nodded her agreement. Then, completely out of the blue, she asked "Hey, you like all of them right? I mean, you like them, not like 'Oh I like them because I have to but I don't really like all of them,' right?" d

Did anyone really completely like at least one person, let alone three that were brothers? "Of course I like them! Sure there are some things I don't like about them but that's normal"

"Like what?"

I couldn't believe Demi right now. We were just getting excited for the party and now she was asking me if I really liked three of my favorite people? I couldn't ignore her though, this was Demi we were talking about. "I guess, for instance, I don't like how Joe tends to interrupt people a lot of the time, or how he was straightening his hair for such a long time." There was no way she could have liked that about him. "Why are you asking anyway?"

Just as the last word left my mouth though, Ed came out with our plates and began to make conversation with us. Demi back and focused on her amazing phone and the person who was more interesting then her best friend of six years. "I let her do what she wanted and tried to keep up with everything Ed was saying though my mind was only half in it. I was going to have to find out what was going on with Demi and I would have to do it fast."
